CSF Scholarship to honor BCA founder
Jerry Christen, BCA's founder, will again be honored by a Citizens' Scholarship Foundation (CSF) award given to a graduating Bedford High School senior who intends to pursue a career in art. Past recipients have included Ben Gould, Nick Nevereux and Aren Imsong.
Because there will be no house concert this year, BCA requests your assistance in funding this year's scholarship. If you are a house concert regular and would like to help by donating the amount you'd have paid in admission, please remit your contribution to BCA, PO Box 404, Bedford, MA, 01730 with Scholarship on the memo line.
The Boston Area Coffee House Association (BACHA) that also honors Jerry Christen will be awarded at the WUMB Folk Festival in June.

BCA's Wednesday Evening Art Flicks
Our home cinema programs live on
Based on the popularity of last year's showing of Who Does She Think She Is? BCA is offering a spring mini-series of films based on artists and the arts in a comfortable local home theater where you'll find a congenial atmosphere, light food and drink, plus food for the soul.
The film Rivers and Tides, Andy Goldsworthy Working with Time will be screened on Wed. April 27th. T
Rivers and Tides, Andy Goldsworthy Working with Time will be shown on Wednesday, April 27 at 7 pm.This astonishing documentary shadows renowned British sculptor Andy Goldsworthy as he creates works of art using ice, driftwood, leaves, stones, dirt and snow in open fields, rivers, creeks and forests. With each new creation he carefully studies the energetic flow and transitory nature of his work. Note: This showing will tune you up for Goldsworthy's one-man show coming to the DeCordova Museum in May. Museum trustees are raising funds for a permanent installation of Snow House on the grounds facing Flint Pond. Save the date: Maya Lin: A Strong Clear Vision on Wednesday, May 18, and Typeface on Wednesday, June 15. Tickets are $10 each; contact Sing Hanson to arrange your admission and pay at the door.
