The Cambridge Savings Bank Senior Prom Stroll co-sponsored by the Bedford Chamber of Commerce will take place at 4:30 pm on Thursday,g June 8 on the Common. In case of inclement weather the stroll will be held in the High School Gym.

More than two dozen members of the First Parish Youth Choirs ages 5 to 18 will bring Disney's Beauty and the Beast to life at the church on Bedford Common on June 4 and 5. Performances will begin at 7 pm. Tickets are available at the church office (781-275-7994) or at the door. Admission: $15 for adults; $10 for seniors, students, and children ages 6 and up. Children ages 5 and under are welcome without charge.

PACEM Summer Concert:  Adult and youth piano, harpsichord, and recorder students from Bedford, Lexington, and surrounding towns present their Summer Concert on Sunday, June 20, at 5 pm at the home of Carroll Ann Bottino, 62 Sherburne Rd., Lexington.  The program will include works from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Modern periods.   Free and open to the public. Guests are invited to stay for a reception, refreshments and an awards ceremony following the concert.
 

The Middlesex Community College Celebrity Forum 2010 will feature acclaimed documentary filmmaker Ken Burns who will speak at 8 pm on Wednesday, June 16, at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium. Burns' award-winning documentaries include Baseball, The Brooklyn Bridge, The Civil War, Jazz  and most recently  The National Parks: America¹s Best Idea.  The Middlesex Celebrity Forum is annual event designed to bring well-known personalities to the area to help enrich educational and cultural opportunities for local residents. The Pan Mass Challenge Bedford Kids Ride will take place on Saturday, June 19 at the John Glenn Middle School. Over 400 kids from Bedford and surrounding towns are expected to ride their bikes in support of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and its Jimmy Fund.  Choose a route that is right for you:  Wally's Way, an obstacle course for tykes on trikes; Yawkey Way, a ½ mile route on the premises and perfect for kids on training wheels, Green Monster, a 3 mile ride for young adventurous riders; Big Papi, a 6 mile ride for more experienced riders; Big Papi Slam, a 10 mile ride for those who want a real challenge; and Fenway, an off-road route just for teens.  Click to register to ride or volunteer or email Amy Mason for more information.

From Mundane Foundations to Monsters: An Homage to the Home Depot by Michael Miller is on display at Lowell's Loading Dock Gallery at Western Avenue Studios on the second floor of the A-Mill, 122 Western Avenue, from June 2 through 27.  There will be a reception for the artist Friday, June 4, from 6 to 9 pm. Art in Whistler Park - Artist's Sale: Members of the Lowell Art Association and the Whistler House Museum of Art will sell their work on Thursday, June 3, and Thursday, June 17, from 5 to 8 pm. The sale is open to the public. Light refreshments will be served in the Parker Gallery at Whistler House.

Open Mikes hosted by Jake Kensinger & Ellen Schmidt of Two for the Show are now perfoming on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month at Savoury Lane, 251 Arlington Street, West Acton. . Featured performers go on at 8 pm.
