March with BCA in the Bedford Day Parade!
Puppets, Puppets, Puppets: Life-size, Mid-size and Mini! Lily: Pssst: There will be BCA puppets in this year's Bedford Day Parade!
Kristina: Pass it on! I want everyone to see my lovely striped stockings, but I don't want to march by myself!
Big Puppet Workshops: Join us as we collaborate in creating four life-sized puppets (or design and create your own mid-size characters!) and then march with us in the Bedford Day Parade on September 26.
You are invited to any or all of the puppet-making workshops for families and adults:
- Sunday, August 16, in the BCA Space at Old Town Hall
-
Sunday, August 23, location to be announced
-
Sunday, September 20, in the BCA Space at Old Town Hall
All 'Big Puppet' workshops meet from 1 to 4 pm.
No fee is required, but please click this link to let us know if you plan to come; it will help us to gather enough materials so everyone has plenty to work with. That said, last minute decision-makers will be welcomed!
Little Puppet Workshops: Young children are encouraged to attend the Third-Friday puppet-making workshops to have fun with puppets and noisemakers.
- August 21: We'll make different kinds of puppets including tongue depressor birds, paper plate and lunch
bag puppets as well as old-fashioned fabric classics.
- September 18: On "Sound & Motion" day we'll make soda can rattles and dancing
ribbons, then learn to play kazoos.
All Third Friday workshops meet in the BCA Space (ground floor, Old Town Hall, 16 South Road) from 3 until 6 pm.
All of these fabulous creations (and their creators!) are invited to march with BCA in the Bedford Day Parade on September 26th! |
