Steve Sappington CommunicationsFebruary 2011

Happy February Everyone, and Happy Groundhog Day!  I know many of you who are reading this are in the middle of some extremely cold weather, so I pray that you and your loved ones are all safe and warm.

I've been cleaning up my email lists lately, but in case some of you wonder why you received this, it's my monthly newsletter.  If you don't enjoy it, you can unsubscribe at the bottom of this page.

Well we certainly have witnessed lots of turmoil lately in the world, haven't we?  I'm not sure I know who began the riots in Egypt, but if you read your Bible much, you know that it prophesies that more and more people will hate Israel.  As the noose tightens, the hatred intensifies and culminates in the Battle of Armageddon.

Some of you may be wondering why a newsletter purportedly about money would mention Armageddon.  Here's why:  world events affect our economies, and if you understand the Bible's perspective on world events, you'll have a better idea how to handle the money that God entrusts to you.  My friend and mentor Robert Mawire says that prophecy prepares us for tomorrow's headlines.  Speaking of Robert, he has hundreds of recorded messages.  If any of you would like to hear some of his wonderful messages, email me at sappingtoncommunications@gmail.com, and I'll send you some ordering information, as well as how you can hear one of his sermons for free!  (And unlike many so-called "free" offers, this one is not predicated on your buying one of his products first!!)

I can't suppress it any longer--my book has finally been published!  Prices seem to be changing almost daily, so I have placed 3 ordering links on my website, www.todayswordonmoney.com.  That way you can easily compare the prices between vendors and also between the hardcover, paperback and e-versions of the book.  I do know that both Amazon and Barnes and Noble have free shipping when you order over $25 worth of books, so you know what I'm going to suggest now, right?!  Order at least 2 books!!  That way your cost per book goes down.

I know a number of people who bought one copy of Today's WORD on Money™ for themselves and another copy for their relatives.  But here's another suggestion that came to me today:  why not give copies to your pastor, your CPA, and your financial advisor?  I really pray that this book will impact as many lives as possible, so please consider giving copies to those who have influence over many other people.  Make them promise to read it, though!  (You could tell them that you're giving it to them with no up-front costs, but if they haven't read it in 2 months, they have to pay you for it!)

Church groups may want to buy a number of copies and read/discuss them together, and businesspeople may want to give copies to all of their employees.  There are some key principles taught in this book that when implemented will provide the buyers with a substantial Return on Investment (ROI).

By the way, if some of you are new to this newsletter, Today's WORD on Money™ is a 40-day look at the spiritual components of today's financial problems.  You can read the daily segments in less than 5 minutes per day.

For those of you on Facebook, I have one more favor to ask:  please "like" my Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Steve-Sappington-Communications/91714117735?ref=ts#!/pages/Steve-Sappington-Communications/91714117735#wall. I plan to spend less time on my personal page and more of my time on the book site, so if you enjoy the topics I address, you'll get more information on the book site going forward.

Thanks to all of you for your kind and encouraging words.  We live in amazing times, and my hope is that this newsletter is used much like Paul encouraged Timothy: "And the things you heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful [people] who will be able to teach others as well." (2 Tim. 2:2)

To illustrate this point, here's a quote from one of my readers in Canada:  "Maybe it sounds weird, but it did bring the heart of the Father God closer to me or me closer to him-to understand that He cares about me and wants to give me instructions how to live my life. I started to search in His word with new passion again."

We thank God for you and pray for you, and we hope that you will pray for us.  And pray for our country.  Remember that NO political party has all the answers.  Only God truly and always knows what's best, so put your trust in Him.

Until next month,

Steve
