Learn More About Consolidation Website Established to Answer Your Questions
This is an exciting time as we prepare for a vote of our membership on the proposed unification of Southwest Landmark and Advanced Agri-Solutions. In January, members will have the chance to cast their vote on the consolidation of the two companies. Southwest Landmark and Advanced Agri-Slolutions have complementary missions, capabilities and service areas, which would combine to strengthen both cooperatives. An informational web site has been created at www.creatingourfuturetogether.com. This go-to location will provide the following information on the merger: - View video interviews with the CEOs of both co-ops
- Review Frequently Asked Questions
- Submit your questions about the consolidation
As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact your branch manager or the main office. We want to ensure you are adequately equipped to make an informed decision when the vote comes before you in January. |
Register at Springfield Farm Store to Win Proceeds to Benefit the Stefanie Spielman Fund
The Springfield Farm Store is holding a raffle with all proceeds going to the Fueling the Cure campaign which benefits the Stefanie Spielman fund. Up for raffle is a hope chest (or toy box), a bench and a game board. Tickets are $5 for the bench and the hope chest (or toy box), and $1 for the game board. The top portion of each ticket entered will be put on displayed in the Farm Store in honor or in memory of someone you choose. The drawing will take place on December 18, 2009; just in time for Christmas. If you would like to participate, stop by the Springfield Farm Store or call Mindy, Larry or Mike at the Farm Store to get your tickets (937-323-7536).
Don't forget to fill the stockings with Fueling the Cure bracelets and t-shirts available at each Southwest Landmark location. All donations go to the Stefanie Spielman Fund.
Thank you to Tim and Nancy LaFayette, who are local store customers, for donating the three wood craft items. Tim uses old wood and recycles the lumbar to make his projects.

'Tis the Season for Propane Safety
Southwest Landmark Energy Customers, watch for the Gasette newsletter and our annual Duty to Warn letter in your mailbox. Here is a preview of some of the valuable information included in the newsletter:
ALLOWING A TANK TO RUN OUT OF GAS CREATES A HAZARDOUS SITUATION! Do
not let your tank run out! Allowing a tank to run empty, or even just
shutting off the tank, causes an unsafe situation. If this occurs, we
must check the gas system for leaks and make sure pilots relight. A
responsible adult must be home when we make deliveries to an empty tank.
IF YOU SMELL PROPANE OR SUSPECT A LEAK:
- Leave the area immediately.
- Do not operate electrical switches or use the phone.
- Warn others to stay away.
- Close all propane tank valves (see enclosed guide).
- Call us, or your local fire department, immediately from a neighbor's phone.
