Are You Ready?

Ride day is fast approaching and we are very excited for the 5TH annual Cycle the WAVE ride on Sunday, September 16th.  Please read this important information and check the website for more ride day activities.   www.cyclethewave.org

 

Parking Information 
Parking attendants will direct you where to park when you reach Issaquah High School, 700 2nd Ave SE.  Neighborhood parking is also available.    We encourage carpooling if possible.  There will be signage and volunteers to guide you where you need to be.
 
You will receive your bib number, safety pins and cue sheet/route map when you check in.  Check in is not required if you received your bib number at Early Packet Pick-Up. Please note Ride Day Support phone number on your bib number, map and cue sheet.
Special safety instructions will be available with route maps.  Please read this half sheet carefully.
Enjoy complimentary pre-ride refreshments from Starbucks and Seattle Bagel Bakery. 
And don't forget to smile for the photographers!

 

Are you Event Day ready?
1.  Helmets are required.
2.  Lube your chain, pump your tires!
3.  Bring water bottles; water and Gatorade will be available at rest stops.
4.  Dress for the weather.  Layers work well.
5.  Expect well-stocked rest stops.  Mechanics and first aid available.
6.  Be prepared to have a great time!

 

Safety and Etiquette
- As ambassadors for Cycle the WAVE, safety and etiquette should be your top priority.
- Leave headphones, ear buds, tape players and other listening devices at home.  For everyone's safety, you will be asked to remove them.
- Obey all traffic signals.
- Avoid blocking intersections.
- Keep to the right, except to pass.
- Pass on the left, use voice or bell.
- Ride courteously.

Attention Little Sisters -  At 9:45 plan to attend a quick review of group riding and safety tips.  This will be near the Start Line.  Come find us!

 

Attention Burly Girls Only - Cedar River Trail Rules
- Stay on trail, respect private property
- Share the trail; yield to pedestrians
- Yield to traffic where signage indicates
- 15 mph speed limit

 

Team Photo
Team photos will be taken 1/2 hour prior to each route leaving; announcements will be made.  Look for the Ride Like a Girl banner!
 
Raffle
Purchase raffle tickets for $10 each (cash and check only) for amazing prizes!
 
Cycle the WAVE jersey orders 
- Jerseys $68, arm warmers $20, shipping $5.
- We will have sample jerseys to try on for sizing.   
- Cash, check or credit card are accepted.

FINISH LINE FESTIVITIES 

Enjoy more great food and music as well as the satisfaction that you made a difference!
Gift bags, t-shirts and water bottles for those first 1000 registered that have not received them are available to pick up when you finish.
The Finish Line Reception will include lunch service from 11:30 until 3:30 p.m.

Ride Day Bib 2012

Our announcer will be looking for your ride number as you approach the Finish Line.  Please display prominently.
