Accelerating Business Growth
Greetings!
One of the things I was thinking about as I was preparing this newsletter is that our company, CFR & Associates is experiencing or has experienced almost everything we write about. The benefit to our readers is that we know what works, what is working and perhaps more importantly, what doesn't work. So, we can provide real time evidence and statistic support for how you can accelerate your business growth. Building Your Business to Last is an event you will not want to miss addressing all of these areas.
Today's topics in this newsletter are referrals, referral sources, power teams and power partners, all concepts utilized and taught exceptionally well by the organization called BNI (Business Network International). At the Seminar on Friday, May 21st from 9:00 - 1:00 PM, we will be discussing this in depth as well. Sign up here! |

Building your Business by Referral
President/CEO of CFR & Associates | Have you ever heard that I am a referral only business? If so, it might have been a realtor, mortgage banker or Financial Planner. Could this really be an answer for you?
Why of course it could, as a matter of fact, it could save you thousands of dollars in other avenues that produce little or no new business.
What types of referral marketing programs are there? Let's start with the basics: there are referrals from your existing clients and customers, there are referral incentive programs where you develop an incentive for someone providing you with a referral that leads to business, there are teams of people who serve similar niche markets and they share the referrals within the group (these are called power teams), there are referral sources (this is typically a company or person) who generates referrals for you through whatever vehicle, and finally there are referral partners. When you get to the referral partner, you have really landed a great opportunity - cherish it!
Over the next several issues, we will be addressing the significance of each one.
If you can't wait, you can visit the BNI podcast and Success Net pages and read and listen to your hearts content as there is more material than you could possibly process. Enjoy

Hiring STARS! Spend 80% of your time with the People you will be hiring and 20% of the time with the People you won't You never know what you have hired until..... |
But, how do you do that you ask? Last week, we talked about the significance of the 15 minute phone interview. Not so much to save you time, but to demand concise and to the point answers from the candidate. You can have as many 15 minute phone interviews as you want so long as they continue to meet the Selection process in terms of keywords and rating criteria. Today, we are going to visit the issue of rating and ranking candidates. In order to spend 80% of your Hiring Process time with 20% of the candidates that have a potential to be hired, it is imperative that you create a sorting or rating process. Over several months now, we have looked at developing keywords, auto-responders with a brief 4 question essay, a rating scale and several other techniques. So, it is critical that you create or develop measurement criteria by which to select and retain star employees. Get your Free Selection and Retention of Star Employee Program Report Here. If you would like help with this, please feel free to contact us and arrange your Complimentary Consultation. Next issue, we will be addressing the importance of well crafted interview questions, what you can ask, what you can't ask and how can you find out things you want to know but can't ask? Stay Tuned.
