Tracey
Mann, Republican Congressional candidate for the first district, today
announced the opening of his campaign headquarters in Salina. The Mann for
Congress office is located on the first floor of the United Building in
downtown Salina at 119 W. Iron Avenue.
"We
are excited to announce the opening of our campaign office in downtown Salina. We
were pleased to be able to find a highly visible and easily accessible location
for volunteers and people throughout the district to stop by," said Mann.
Mann
is campaigning to bring a conservative, common-sense voice to the debate in
Washington.
"We
need to stop reckless and wasteful spending, defeat Obamacare, secure our nation's
borders, and keep our country safe from terrorism. It's not complicated. Congress needs to start listening to the
American people," said Mann.
Mann
is running to replace Congressman Jerry Moran, who is running for the United
States Senate. Moran's former Chief of
Staff, Tom Hemmer of Salina, is serving as Mann's Campaign Committee Chairman.
"Tracey
is the best candidate in this race to carry on the tradition of outstanding
leadership from the first district," said Hemmer. "His campaign headquarters in Salina and
strong support throughout Western and Central Kansas will help us carry his
common sense conservative message to voters."
Mann
is a fifth-generation Kansan and was raised on the family's farm near
Quinter. He is a graduate of Kansas
State University where he served as Student Body President. He
currently serves as Vice President and Director of Industrial Sales and Leasing
for Zimmer Real Estate Services. He and
his wife, Audrey, live in Salina.
"My roots are deep in Kansas, not politics. I will use my experience in business and
agriculture to fight for Kansas families and fight against more big government
solutions from Washington," said Mann.
