Audrey and I had a wonderful time at Kansas Days this past weekend in Topeka. Thanks to the many people who took time out of their weekend to come by and support our campaign! We came away from the weekend feeling very good--encouraged by the scores of people we met at our reception and the reactions I received following my address to the delegates from the First District. Our momentum is growing, and I can't help but be energized when I talk with other Kansans about how we can change the course of our country toward fiscal responsibility, less governmental regulation, increased opportunities for our children and grandchildren, and straightforward Kansas values. Small
businesses are the center point of our economy, and the last
thing we need to do is make it harder for them. The solution to this
year's $1.6 trillion deficit is reducing government spending--not
increasing taxes and regulation on American businesses and farmers. With your help, I will take that simple truth to Washington.
This week, I'll be meeting with many folks across the district, including business and community leaders at the Hutchinson Chamber of Commerce dinner tonight, the Hays Chamber of Commerce dinner on Thursday evening, and the Salina Chamber of Commerce dinner on Friday.
Thanks for your continued support. If you have a moment, please be sure to visit our campaign Facebook page.
