Big First District Candidate Tracey Mann Out-Raises Opponents
(SALINA, KS) - Tracey Mann, Republican candidate for the 1st Congressional District seat, has managed to receive more financial contributions in his first quarter of campaigning than any of the other 1st District Congressional candidates.

The Federal Election Commission deadline for all Congressional candidates was July 15th at Midnight.

Three important facts to note:

1. Mann's FEC Financial Disclosure report shows that he received more contributions (not including loans from the candidate) than his five other opponents in the race.

2. Mann managed to raise more in his first quarter campaigning than any of the other 1st District candidates in any of their previous quarters.

3. Of the candidates that had announced prior to April 1st, Mann managed to raise more in this quarter than each of them in their first two quarters campaigning.

"The response from our supporters regarding our campaign has been overwhelming. We see from these financial endorsements that people are fed up with what is happening in Washington and want real change now," said Mann.

"Our objective is to work to stop cap and trade, nationalized health care, skyrocketing debt, higher taxes, and protect our agricultural interests, communities and small towns," said Salina businessman Tracey Mann who announced his candidacy for Congress in April of this year.

"I am proud to know that at least one candidate knows what we're fighting for, and it isn't fighting other Republicans. That candidate is Tracey Mann," said former Chief of Staff to Congressman Jerry Moran, Tom Hemmer of Salina. Hemmer is serving as the Mann for Congress Campaign Committee Chairman.

Mann grew up in Western Kansas on a family farm, the fifth generation to live in the house his great-great grandfather built. Three generations of Mann's work the farm today.

"Like so many Western Kansas youth, Tracey went east to make a living since the farm couldn't support another family.  However, his passion and dedication to the farm remains, returning often to help his family as he did recently during wheat harvest," said Hemmer.

"While other candidates talk about their political experience, Tracey talks about what he'd do - reverse the tide of liberalism taking over Washington. The person we send to Congress has to understand that the right kind of change in Washington - real change - is what we need. In everything he's done, Tracey has been a leader, and Washington will be no different. He lives that rare word - integrity - every day of his life and people trust him because of it," said Mann for Congress campaign treasurer Justin Knopf.
