Greetings!

We've revamped our E-newsletter with you in mind. We know you're busier than ever so we're making it simpler for you to grab our up-to-the-minute media analysis and go. The info you'll find here is designed to help you make smarter decisions when spending your marketing budget.

But we don't like to make a nuisance of ourselves. So if this information is not for you, feel free to make use of the easy one click unsubscribe function at the very top of this email.

Otherwise, we'd be very pleased if you could add [email protected] to your contacts list to help our newsletter reach you.

Now, back to smarter marketing. We've added a new dimension to our stable of services designed to leverage the benefits you are achieving with your existing advertising.

High quality Relationship Email Marketing is measurable, cost effective, targeted and focused on building client retention.

We reckon it ticks all the boxes so we're running a seminar to give you a basic overview on the value to your business of Email Marketing.

It will be presented by E-newsletter specialist Kristy Hitchens of Brown Mouse Communications so stay tuned. We'll be in touch with more info on that one soon. If you can't wait til then and want to know more about Email Marketing now, send us an email.

You'll hear from us like this on the first Thursday of every month. So for now, have a read and please tell us how we could improve the information for you.

Kind regards

3 hot trends and what they mean for you

Trend #1
Research shows that more and more, we are turning to our computers for information over traditional mediums of television and newspapers. According to international provider of real estate advertising realestate.com.au people aged 25 to 35 spend 22 hours per week in front of their computer compared to 11 in front of the television.

So what? There's a dire need for you to analyse your target market carefully and investigate the best forms of advertising to reach it, which could include various types of online marketing such as email marketing.

Trend #2
While 60 per cent of marketers plan to cut their traditional marketing budgets this year, 47 per cent of marketers plan to boost their email marketing budgets.
- Aberdeen Group, "Recessionary Marketing: How Best-in-Class Companies Are Weathering the Storm" (Jan 2009)

So what? Slower markets with less active advertisers present a massive opportunity for all smart businesses who continue to promote themselves wisely. The result will be increased market share resulting in healthier profitability.

Trend #3
A survey conducted by Sweeney Sports has highlighted troubled times ahead for corporate sponsorship. Almost a third of corporate sponsors have quit existing sponsorships due to the global financial crisis; Just over a third have cut funding to existing sponsorships and almost half have put on hold signing new sponsorships.

So what? Corporate sponsorship is an expensive form of advertising but cost cutting by some could open up new opportunities for you.

Golf day hits target again
The annual Car Dealers and Friends Charity Golf Day has again raised a bucket of money for the Cancer Council.

In its 11th year, the Golf Day was able to contribute another $45,000 to A.H. Crawford Lodge which provides a safe and caring environment within the grounds of Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital for patients receiving treatment for cancer and their families.

The year's result brings the total fundraising amount to $400,000.
Thirty-three teams teed off on the day but it was Bunbury Honda and Kia who claimed the Rob Wasserman Trophy team prize on a count-back from AMD Chartered Accountants with Regional Media Specialists taking out third spot.

Bunbury Honda and Kia's Scott Jones won the Joe Mosca medal with a fine score of 42 points.

Organisers of the Charity Golf Day thanked all event sponsors for their ongoing support.
