We can relate to the hectic schedules that so many of us are dealing with these days so  we promise to continue to keep it brief and give you just a quick overview  of what we have going on each month at Talulah's Fancy and Friends! What's New at Talulah's Fancy and Friends?

...Well Workshop Wednesdays Are!

 

Treat yourself and a friend to a handcrafted

workshop sponsored by Talulah's Fancy and Friends. Watch your email for the first of many workshops to be offered on Wednesday evenings throughout the months ahead. There will be a variety of two hour "make and take" mixed media art projects including macramé belt making, terrarium dish garden building, apron designing and paper collage projects. All workshops will be kept affordable and most supplies will be included or a list will be provided.

  

Workshop Wednesdays in JUNE-Terrarium Dish Garden Building

 Create a miniature garden inside a glass vessel! Bring along interesting shells, rocks, bark, live moss or other miniatures that could decorate your mini-landscape. All base material and plants are included. If time allows and you'd like to make more than one terrarium, bring your own medium size glass container (that your hand will fit into) and pay $15 for plants and materials.

I grew up, a girl of the farmy lands in Honeoye Falls, a small upstate New York town, where the winters were the colors of swirling snow and the summers were scented with deep blue lakes and deep green acres of corn. I grew up in a poetic land.

 

Images stir my imagination (so does wearing petticoats and stompy shoes), but I have spent most of my working life as a writer and an editor.  Letting an image speak to me and through me is how a Story Picture is made. Mostly, I get very quiet and I listen hard.

 

The collection continues to grow. I hope that you find the ones that say what it is in your heart to say...to a loved one, to an old house or a summer cottage or a library, to a season, to yourself.

 

Thank you for reading them and responding to them. Thank you too for being the extraordinary person you are.
