Greetings!
We have so much news for you this month -- new fabrics, new quilts, and lots of valuable freebies, too. My biggest news is the arrival of my first grandson, Emmett. He made his appearance in this world at the beginning of July and everyone is doing just great. I am so often asked about my travel schedule. I usually stick close to home during the summer, but I've got lots of teaching coming up as we head towards fall. Later this month, I'll be teaching hand piecing and hand quilting in my shop in Great Falls, VA. The classes run consecutively August 18-20 and there's still room for a few students. You can find all the details on my website.
In September, I'll be returning to Ukraine to teach; I promise to take lots of pictures! And then it's a quick trip to Chautauqua, New York where I'll be lecturing during Quilting Around Chautauqua. For those of you who prefer to plan ahead, I will be escorting a group of quilters around Ireland during the 2012 International Quilt Festival of Ireland next June. Sew Many Places planned my trip to India last year and has also put together the details for this amazing trip. Click here for details -- the trip and the Festival will be amazing!

Kashmir Fabrics & Quilt Now Available
| Last year I visited India for the first time in decades. It was an amazing trip and when I got home, I immediately started designing! Kashmir is the result.
I am absolutely in love with this collection. There are four color families, and the fabric designs include paisleys, a large-scale floral print and another inspired by India's traditional block-printed fabrics.
All the fabrics are available by the yard, and a Fat Quarter Bundle of all 29 fabrics is also available for a limited time.
I've also designed a quilt to feature fabrics from the collection. A complete kit is available from my website and the pattern is a free download. You can find all the details on the kit and pattern at the link below.

Free 6-Month Magazine Subscription
| Several months ago I had a number of email exchanges with the editor of Down Under Quilts, a wonderful quilting magazine based in Australia. They were doing a feature on medallion quilts -- the subject of my third book.
Well, that issue is out and you can view the magazine -- and all online back issues -- absolutely free for six months! I think you'll be very impressed with the magazine.
To read the current issue and see pictures of my quilt, Ray of Light, and my quilt garden, click on the image or the link below. Read Down Under Quilts

Aurifil Designer of the Month

Aurifil Threads features a quilt designer each month and I'm the August designer of the month!
You can find a mini-profile of me on their blog, as well as a free project. There are ways to win free stuff, too; it's worth checking out. Click here to see it all.
In celebration, we're offering a 10% discount when you buy three or more spools of Aurifil thread from jinnybeyer.com during the month of August.
I've been using Aurifil 28-weight thread for my quilting and hand-piecing for some time, and the Studio staff loves using the 50-weight thread for machine quilting and piecing. We've got dozens of colors in stock so there's lots to choose from.

Jinny's Journey Block of the Month - Block #5
| |
We're back with a new block this month: Block #5 is the Mariner's Compass. I've designed it so you can easily achieve those sharp points with foundation piecing. But we've also included templates for those of you who prefer traditional piecing.
And if you're new to this block-of-the-month program, never fear! You can catch up with everything you missed by clicking the link below, too.
Remember, the free patterns are only available via the link below so if you don't download the pattern right away, be sure to save this email.

We have complete kits and patterns ready to ship. The kit is available with three different border color options!
