TRIBUTES TO MOM

Maxine Lobb
My mother seems to be the happiest when she's serving. She's never had an idle bone in her body. I believe my brothers would concur with me that this passage exemplifies her life:
"She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed." - Proverbs 31:27-28
Happy Mother's Day, Mom! Love, Jody (Lobb)

Mallory Rains
No words could thank her enough...my mom. She is the cheerleader, the psychologist, the smile maker, judge and jury always in my favor. My mom has been my biggest supporter from day 1, unconditionally. No matter what I wanted to do, even if she thought it was a terrible idea, she was there for me to lift me up and catch me when I fell. I can't thank my mom enough for encouraging me and making me the person I am today. Without her love and support I would be nothing.
I love you mom with all my heart. Dawn (Vellarde)

Marge Coates
To My Mother
For all the times you gently picked me up, When I fell down, For all the times you tied my shoes And tucked me into bed, Or needed something But put me first instead. For everything we shared, The dreams, the laughter, And the tears, I love you with a "Special Love" That deepens every year. Love, Lori (Ross)

We'll have a TACO/BURRITO bar and, with a local bumper crop of rhubarb, we're challenging our great cooks to come up with their best rhubarb desserts (although ANY dessert will be welcome and enjoyed!) Please contact Kathy Durkee or Kathy Wheaton to sign up for one of the with main meal items - meats, cheese, lettuce, sour cream, guacamole, tomatoes, black beans, refried beans, tortilla shells, etc. See you there! Philippines Mission Report
During the past month the mission trip to Mati, Philippines was completed with great results. We did VBS for several hundred children, a feeding program for many more, built and dedicated a new toilet, installed a permanent dental clinic facility, did dental work on children and young adults, participated with medical doctors in two medical clinics, and with physical therapists with care for handicapped children. Our team was great, full of enthusiasm and hard working.
This coming Sunday, May 13, the Mission Trip report will be made to the congregation as a kickoff for this year's Penny Crusade.
