EASTER OFFERING
The Lord must be smiling at the fine response to the special offering for the upcoming Philippine Medical/Dental Trip.The total offering was for $1,238.00, with $200 of that from an individual at Thompson Road Church in Milwaukee, Oregon. So, the folks at West Valley gave $1,038. This offering paid for over $13,000 worth of medicines which will be taken along to meet health care needs in the Philippines. The team leaves on Friday, April 20 and will be gone for 2 weeks. Those going from this area are Kay Gomez, Pat Forbes, Raymond (dentist) and Hannah Hsu, and Clio Thomas. Please pray that the Lord will accomplish much physical and spiritual healing through this mission.
ASSISTANCE NEEDED FOR THE PHILIPPINE MISSION TEAM:
 One night's lodging and breakfast for two men, either at the same home or at two different homes. Pick your overnight guest up at the church at 7:30 pm on Thursday, April 19th and bring him/them back to the church by 10 am Friday, April 20.  Hi there and thank you for the cards to the kids and the cards to us. Please tell your group that this kind of thing makes it even more worth while to continue. Thank all those who signed the card for their prayers and support.
As of right now, we have 11 children living with us. Since you left, we have put a new roof on the dormitory and added a third room upstairs. Bee and Nun have taken over supervising the younger children. We have 9 living in the dormitory and 2 living in the house. As of right now, we have no idea how many we will have when school starts again the middle of May. Please pray for me as we continue to teach English several hours a day.

QUILTING or CRAFTING?
 Women's Ministry is having a Quilting /Craft day on Saturday, April 21st starting at 9:30 a.m. until noon. Pamee will be bringing along her knitting and crocheting so if you are interested in learning any of these craft types (quilting,knitting or crocheting), come join the ladies for lessons, fun and conversation. WOMEN'S SELF DEFENCE CLASS BEGINS IN APRIL
A Women's Self Defense class will begin Friday, April 27th and run for four consecutive weeks. The cost is $15 to take the class and space is limited. Classes will be held in the Fellowship Hall and participants will want to dress comfortably, no special equipment required. Please contact Dawn Velarde if you are interested in participating. This course offers great information and tips for all activity levels and ages.

Women's Ministry Meets Monthly
All women are welcome - ask your girl friends to come join us on the 3rd Saturday of each month at West Valley Church from 9:30 to Noon for fellowship, devotions, sharing, outings, quilting and crafts.
Next Men's Breakfast April 13
The next men's breakfast will be on Friday, April 13th at 7:00 a.m. No special invitation required, just show up and enjoy a hot breakfast, conversation and fellowship!
