Plan to join us next Sunday as we consider the "Stations of the Cross"
For the past few years we have reminded ourselves of Jesus' love by considering the events leading up to the Cross. This service is particularly meaningful as we prepare to celebrate the joy and hope of His resurrection at Easter. Come with an attitude of reverence and gratitude and plan to join our church family as we worship and as we share in Jesus' Communion meal.
Other special announcements:
- Reminder: Deacons meeting following our worship service this Sunday, March 25. Lunch will be provided.
- No Breakfast will be served on Palm Sunday, worship will begin at 11:00 with no prelude. Readers are asked to arrive by 10:45.
- Easter Sunday we will serve an extra-special breakfast, starting at 9:45 and for the kids we will be hosting an Easter egg hunt following morning service.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
 WV WORK PARTY DAY
Saturday, March 24th
It's spring clean up time at West Valley! We had a great turn out last year and we look forward to a repeat performance for 2012. Rain or shine, we'll get started at 9:00 - come early if you want a hot cup of coffee and a bite of breakfast! Bring your own small garden tools, gloves, brooms, etc. We'll be working inside and out getting ready for Palm Sunday and Easter - both are right around the corner! If we have enough volunteers we'll also be tackling the yard area surrounding the new Rec Center.
REACH OUT EVENTS
Next: March 27-31
The women's shelter service came to and end and the ladies were very appreciative of everyone's help. The next event is March 27-31 and we will be providing homeless men in our community a hot meal in a safe environment. The volunteer response has been such a blessing! Please contact Dawn Velarde if you are interested in participating. Dawn may be contacted at dawnmvelarde@gmail.com, or by phone at 253-951-2496

From John Middlewood...
Prayer needs in Thailand:
We have had two new girls move in this week: Pak Pao and Yok. Pak is the younger sister of our daughter-in-law Pik. Neither girl is a Christian. Pak is trying it out to see if she can stay here during the school year. Yok is in the same English Program with another student, Pan. Her parents want her to remain for the school year, but she isn't sure. Neither she or Pan are Christians.
Ploy and Milk are back for during the summer. They left about 6 months ago because,"Dr John was too strict." Neither of them are Christians. They are not sure yet if they just want the summer or will stay for the new school year.
Bpun, who lived here for a couple of months and left has returned to English classes and church on Saturday and Sunday. Talking with her today (March 18) she reaffirms that she has accepted Christ but cannot receive baptism because of her grandmother's spirit worship. Bpun has two younger sisters, Beem and Bee that would like to speak out for Christ but they do not dare because of Grandma. Please pray for these three girls.
Dao, a girl that left several years ago has been back for two Sundays now. She states that she wants to come back, attend English Classes and start going to English Camps. How much she believes, I am not sure of, whether it is a true returning because of Christ or she is seeking tuition assistance. She will be a first year student at the local university. Another English major wanting to be a teacher. She does need help and she is a real neat young lady. Prayer is that she will see the light of Christ and make a decision to accept him. She is another girl that lives right in the middle of a spirit worship group.
Thank you and God Bless, John and Maeo
