Annual Meeting this Sunday!

|
Congregational Meal - January 15
The Hospitality team will be providing a Pasta Bar lunch coinciding with the Annual Meeting. A variety of sauces will be available to choose from - including options for our vegetarian friends. Please bring a dessert to share.
Baptismal Service - January 22 or 29th
A baptismal service is scheduled for January 22nd or 29th, depending on the participants. If you would like to be baptized, please speak with Pastors Keith or Brandon about it as soon as possible.
West Valley Community Church Membership Class
Do you want to join WVCC? If you aren't already a member but would like to join, please speak with Pastors Keith or Brandon about becoming part of our fellowship. A membership class will be held within the next month and we'd like to have everyone who is interested attend this class.
Read the New Testament in One Year!
Join the challenge! We're reading the entire New Testament during 2012 and you're invited to come along! We've broken the readings out into manageable sessions; 5-15 minutes each day and to simplify the process you can receive each daily reading selection via email or you can use our handy daily reading log which is available at the church. If you are not already receiving the daily email and would like to be included on the distribution, click on the link at the bottom of this page and we will add you to the list right away.
Library News - FREE BOOKS!

Our shelves were groaning and tightly packed so we decided to remove some of the older, but still good, books and have made them available to you choose from at the back of the church. Please help yourselves and feel free to share with a friend.
Recycle Those Old Cell Phones!

West Valley Church is linking up with Hope Phones, an agency that recycles cell phones for use in eleven developing countries around the world. These phones help provide:
- Emergency Healthcare
- Treatment Support
- Drug Dosage Information
- Clinic Referrals
Clean out your dresser drawers and place your old phones in the receptacle on the table in the foyer. The phones will be shipped to "Hope Phones," and you will have helped someone on the other side of the world!

Mission to Thailand Update
"Things continue to go well here in Thailand. We're safe, healthy, and busy. We've spent part of this last week working at a nearby village nursery school and part of the week cleaning and painting at the Mission.

Saturday the Mission hosted, and the team participated in, an all day youth meeting with 75-100 teens from several churches in surrounding villages.
Next week Jody will be involved in teaching English at a local high school while John, along with Pat Forbes, will concentrate on maintenance and painting at the mission.".

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not corrupt and thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Where do you hide your heart?
What we most value is where we will find our heart. So it is an important question. You see, we can treasure riches, control, security, relationships, and even church. Jesus comes to remind us that it is only by turning loose of the things that most of us keep as our treasures that we find what is truly treasure.
Majestic Father, I pray that out of the riches of your grace, you may help me find my treasure in you and nothing else. Today, I want to offer you all that I am and have to your glory. Through Jesus my example and Savior I pray. Amen.

Free: Oak entertainment center - the kind with glass door cabinets for DVD player - in excellent condition. Just come and get it.
Needed: Tree cut down and removal. Large pine tree beside our house needs to be cut down and removed. Estimates welcome.
Both: Contact Keith/Jan Eldridge 253-859-5469
For sale: We have a 20 something year-old Kimball console piano in excellent condition that we would like to sell. We are the original owners and Katie and David both learned to play on this instrument. We use to have it tuned regularly but since it hasn't seen much use in the last few years it has been a while since it has been tuned. We would like to get $600 but would consider offers.
