Potluck Fellowship Meal April 10
Our next fellowship meal will be after service on April 10. We are going with the traditional potluck - if your last name is A-H bring a hot dish to share; I-P bring a salad, and R-Z you get the desserts. If anyone has any questions, please see Kathy Durkee or Kathy Wheaton or email kannedurkee@gmail.com or knkwheaton@comcast.net.
Upcoming Baby Shower for Megan (Lobb) Harrison
All ladies are invited to a baby shower for Megan (Lobb) Harrison here at the church following worship service on April 3. Lunch will be provided! Megan has registered at Babies R Us and Target. Remember to put in Spokane as the city where she is registered. It's a girl!
One-Minute Meditations
MeditationFriendship. Everyone needs a friend. A friend is someone who knows all about us-our good points and bad-and yet, still loves us. True friends enjoy each other's company and want to spend time together. David knew about true friendship:

"If you wake your friend in the early morning by shouting, 'Rise and shine!', it will sound to him more like a curse than a blessing."

"Reliable friends who do what they say are like cool drinks in sweltering heat-refreshing."

Of course, our dearest friend is God. David had a deep and abiding friendship with God and writes of it often:

"God-friendship is for God-worshipers; They are the ones He can confide in. Question: What are God-worshipers like? Answer: Arrows aimed at God's bull's-eye. God loves all who hate evil, and those who love Him he keeps safe. God keeps an eye on his friends, His ears pick up every moan and groan. Disciples so often get in trouble; Still God is there every time. He's your bodyguard, shielding every bone. Not even a finger gets broken.

So, God, you have always been there for me. Don't turn your back on me now. Take me by the hand. Lead me down the path of truth.

So God's people, shout praise to God! Give thanks to our Holy God!"
Men's Breakfast
Join us for good conversation, creative breakfast food, and a time of study. You can catch us on your way to work. We meet at 7:00 am and are finished before 8:30 am. Join us in April on the 15th and 29th.
Women's Ministry Spring Retreat Coming Soon!
Women's retreat is coming soon! It will be at Warm Beach this year. The dates are May 13-15, the costs are going to be about $100.00 to $120.00 and for the first time we have the option of staying 2 nights! We have been busy selling the remainder of the West Valley Cookbooks (they are all gone!) to use as some funds for scholarships towards the Women's retreat. Pami Hanson is also looking for anyone who would like to donate towards a scholarship as there are several women interested in attending this year. Please see Pami about getting assistance if you need a partial or full scholarship. Pami is also putting together a list of ladies who would like to attend and making
sure there is funding and rides for everyone. See Pami at church or contact her at 206.406.5115 or pumi7864@yahoo.com.
