How many words can you think of that describe God? He is merciful, omnipotent, mighty, everlasting, and loving, to name a few. One word is "good". David certainly knew first hand of God's goodness:

"Hallelujah! Praise the name of God. Shout "Hallelujah because God's so good. The fame of God's goodness spreads across the country; His righteousness is on everybody's lips. God is good to one and all; Everything he does is suffused with grace. God is well-known as good and forgiving, big-hearted to all who ask for help. No doubt about it! God is good-good to good people, good to the good-hearted. But I nearly missed it, missed seeing His goodness. I was looking the other way, looking up to the people at the top, envying the wicked who think they have it made. Be good to your servant, God; Be as good as your word. Train me in good common sense; I'm thoroughly committed to living your way. Be good to your good people, Lord; To those whose hearts are right. Thank you, God. And why? Because you're good, because your love lasts. It never runs out."
