Packing Shoe Boxes
Remember how much fun it was as a child to open presents at Christmas? We have the opportunity to give needy children around the world that same sense of joy and to let them know how much God loves them by packing shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Boxes and more information will be available next week. The filled boxes need to be returned to church by Sunday, November 21. |

Family Hour Our Sunday morning family hours continue to be fun as well as educational. Meeting at 9:45 for a great breakfast cooked by our youth, we begin our lesson and activity at 10:15. This fall we've been discussing Noah, so one week we made "arks" from graham crackers and frosting. Last week we paired up in twos to make animals from clay. As you can see from the photos, all ages are involved in the lessons, and this time provides a great opportunity for our church to meet three of its core values: 1. Families and youth are ministered to; 2. Relationships are nurtured; 3. Everyone is involved. In addition to that, many young people today have such little exposure to God's Word that they don't even know who Noah is! We often take such knowledge for granted, but, if we don't teach them about Noah, who will?

Update on Armando
Good news! We have been praying for Armando, the grandson of Luanne Cisneros, for a successful reconstruction surgery on his face and head. The surgery was successful and he has been home for several days. He is getting return of his speech and is able to walk now with a cane. Let us continue to pray for continued progress toward recovery. |
Thanks for the Socks!
A big THANK YOU to everyone for contributing socks to the "Sock It To Homelessness" campaign for Operation Nightwatch. We collected 225 pair of socks toward our goal of 250 pair. For the Sunday October 10 target date, ONW collected over 7,000 pairs toward the overall goal of 20,000. It is very typical for the socks to continue coming in, so the 20,000 goal is still within reach. Again, many thanks to the generous folks at West Valley. |

We encourage you to join. Donations of $12 are being accepted now. Checks should be made out to "Women's Ministries" and either placed in the offering or given to Jody Fenlason. Thanks! |
