Quilting Day
On February 6, seventeen women met together in our newly remodeled basement to work on quilts. We enjoyed lunch together and Pami Hanson provided a special devotional. Nine quilts were completed that day. Two of those quilts were sent to Japan with Julius for his two children. The other 7 are packed with some of Tom and Nelda's things and are on their way to the orphanage in Mati. Our next quilt day is scheduled for Saturday, April 10th from 9:30-2:00. All women are invited, and we hope you'll be able to join us for a fun and productive day.
Donations for Mati
Thanks to all who donated items for the Agape House ministries. We shipped a large box this week. Any additional items brought to West Valley by Sunday, February 28 can be included in the next shipment.
Villa Capri Ministry
We've been having fun with the new 6 year old black triplets who have been coming regularly to the kid's program. Ask Jody how we tell them apart. One of the older girls who have helped us so much has moved to Spokane. She will be missed. The kids had great fun decorating Valentine Cookies for their party. They love craft activities where there are lots of art supplies to create with. Brad does a wonderful job telling stories which began with Creation. Of course snack time is always a hit! Stop by sometime and look at the poster with the pictures and names of almost all the kids. 29 pictures so far. Thank you for your support and prayers.
Revelation Continues...
If you haven't been to the Tuesday night dinner/Bible study it's not too late. Each Tuesday at 6:00 pm a meal is served and at 6:45 pm we begin our study of the book in the Bible that promises blessings to those who read it. Come and join us. Childcare is provided and the lessons conclude promptly at 7:30.

The time is drawing near for our church's turn to help provide meals for the homeless men in Federal Way. As a church we've committed to serving for the week of March 15 - 21. Below is a link to the general guidelines of our responsibilities. Currently, church members have made commitments to serve on Saturday night and Tuesday night. If you are willing to be part of a team to serve on any of the remaining nights, please let us know. Anyone interested in helping with the preparation and serving should call or email Kathy Durkee at 425-221-3172 or kannedurkee@gmail.com. We will be cooking casseroles to freeze for five dinners next Tuesday, March 2 (no Bible Study) at 6:00pm in the church kitchen. We will have all the ingredients for the recipes and need willing hands and hearts to prepare these for freezing.  Any questions, please talk with Kathy Durkee or Pami Hanson.

Youth Update

Youth News
We were fortunate to have Rowena and Julius visit our high school group when the were in town. They both shared about the Agape House ministries they are involved in. Julius was even kind enough to beat Spencer at ping pong. It was about time somebody did!

Youth Fundraisers

Phone Book Delivery
Both the Middle School and High School groups have recently completed our phone book delivery fundraiser.  It was hard work but we got the job done.  If you recently got a Yellow Book placed nicely on your doorstep it could have been us. If your Yellow Book is wet, damaged, or missing you were obviously not on our route.

Valentine's Dinner
Our Valentine's Dinner was a success!  We had a great group of guests and our special musical guests were fabulous.  Thanks Ken and Keith!  Tina helped organize the meal, service and decorations. Everything went very smoothly. Thanks Tina!

Youth for Hire
Some of our high school guys delivered some fire wood last weekend.  It was a good project and the wood all arrived in good condition!  This is just another example of work we can do for YOU.  Our youth are for hire.  Spring is coming, so get us booked for your project!  All proceeds will go to our camp scholarship fund.
