| Here's the Up and Up!
It is with
a touch of sadness that I report to you that our remodel project is coming to
completion....NOT!!!!!
Everyone
involved is anxious to have a life back and have free evenings and Saturdays
again!!
This week
and next we will be working double time to be ready for carpet near the end of
next week. We still have painting, trim
work, and lots of clean-up and tool removal to accomplish before the carpet
arrives.
Ken has
worked full-time for us four days this week to keep the job on schedule, as
well as our other faithful trustees and volunteer workers. Thank you for your dedication to this
project!
Last
Sunday we had "Breakfast Club" (Sunday School for all ages and breakfast
prepared by the youth) in the new-not quite finished-Great Room. This Sunday we will again and be prepared to
make cards for Josh and Joel. Sunday
12-20-09 we will have a festive dinner and Christmas Party to christen the new
carpet!! Watch for details.
Please
pray for energy, patience and safety for our work crew as we rush to meet
deadlines.
To God be
the Glory,
Sandy

Kids Being Kids on Sunday Morning!

| Animals for Stafford
The Stafford team is collecting new or gently used small stuffed
animals to give as gifts to each resident of Stafford who attends our
worship service on Christmas Sunday. If you have some you'd like to
donate, please place them in the box at the back of the church by
Sunday, Dec. 13th. We're also hoping to round up BELLS to use during
our holiday services. If you have some you could donate or loan, please
put those in the same box. If you'd like your BELLS returned to you,
please label them with your name. Thanks so much! |
| Villa Capri Update
This
year we've changed our program a little. We now play board games
with the kids one week, the following week we make a craft. Of course
the Wii is there every week. There is a need for
more board games. If you have any used or new ones that
you could donate, please talk with Sue Pleasants. Also new this
year, Brad Neil shares Bible stories with the kids every week,
beginning in Genesis. The team working with the kids, Brad, Nelda, Jody, Bruce
and Sue, are very thankful for your prayers and support.

Calendars for Stafford
Most of us get calendars in the mail from various organizations. If you
have some you won't be using, rather than tossing them out, the
residents at Stafford would enjoy having them. Please pass them on to
either Kathleen or Jody. Thanks!

Dear West Valley Friends...
David and I are so grateful for the
cards and sentiments from our friends at WVAC after my dad's death. You
are all still very special to us, and knowing that you care meant a lot
to us.
With our gratitude and love to you all,
David and Jackie
