Last week, during our breakfast hour, we heard about two of our soldiers who are spending Christmas on the battlefield in Iraq and Afghanistan. John and Jody Fenlason's son, Joel, and Mindy Salcedo's brother-in-law, Josh, are both currently serving our country "in harm's way."
This week, while we're enjoying our breakfast together, we're going to assemble care packages to send to both of these men. We will make cards and take pictures to include in these packages, (some of us might even make some cookies!)
One item that Mindy mentioned that was especially important to Josh's squad was good socks. Winters in Afghanistan are brutally cold and decent footwear would be greatly appreciated. Below is a note from Mindy explaining the need and how we can meet it.

My Brother-in-law Josh Waguespack, third from the right in the attached picture, is currently in Afghanistan and is in charge of his own squad and is asking for Winter Sock donations for his men.
