Coffs coast surf newsletter 5th December 2009
Urunga lad who has been living in Byron for the last year... Brett Caller
More shots from the Pass in gallery "The Pass 24th-26th Nov"
Loads of new photos up on the site as of today!
There are pics from a 3 day trip I did to Byron bay recently. I got to hang out with Brett Caller and Jack Lynch and get some fun little sliders at the Pass.
There is a session shot back on the 22nd November at one of our back beaches, wind blown but fun.
Then we have a combo session of what we have shot over the last week or so. Gallery is titled "Waves from the 27th nov - 4th dec"
Go to the surf galleries page of our site to see it all.

This clip is my maiden voyage into the world of moving footage. I have recently rigged up a tripod mount that allows me to film using a little digi video camera, while I am following the surfer with my regular still camera. The quality is far from world class, but I'm having fun with it and I will be bringing more clips to the weekly newsletter to give this thing another dimension. find out about the clip below.
Swallow tail, square rails that are just over an inch thick and tiny keel fins
The Vector is a brand new design by foam mower, Sage Joske from Valla surfboards. It is a cross between a Alaia (anicent board from hawaii) and a Steve Lis fish. The thing goes off!! Sage, Brett Caller and Jack Lynch are having a ball on this protype. Two of this weeks galleries have still shots of them surfing it and the little clip above gives a small taste of what they can do in tiny surf. Can't wait to see these guys riding it in solid waves.

There is a new cafe/surf art gallery that recently opened its doors at the jetty. Owners Mat and Kaori Wyborn have got the place stacked with great surf lifestyle images, surfboards and surf DVD's. As of this weekend we have four of our acrylic mounts on display and up for sale!
I've sprouted about these acrylic mounts in past newsletters, but you really have to see with your own eyes to appeciate the quality of this medium.
