Dear Commercial Members,
On behalf of the CMAC Committee, I welcome you all to MUSE 2012, and to the MUSE Commercial Members Advisory Committee (CMAC). We are already off to a strong and very busy start! As a result of the hard work, successes and overall outstanding job performed by the 2010/2011 Committee, we have an excellent foundation entering the New Year. I am honored to be selected as Chair for this fantastic group, and will do my best to keep up with everyone.
The 2011/2012 Committee has been collaborating with members of the MUSE Board on development of a number of new strategies:
- Increase MUSE membership.
- Improve MUSE membership attendance at all MUSE sponsored events, with an emphasis on the International Conference.
- Promote excellence in education, knowledge, information sharing, and networking for the MUSE membership.
- Discover ideas for new events and venues that might be of value and benefit to the MUSE membership.
- Grow CMAC into a relevant and supportive tool for all MUSE Commercial Members.
CMAC members and the MUSE Board are hard at work looking for more opportunities and new ways of adding value to MUSE membership. We are exploring ideas such as virtual events, reverse trade shows, mini-events, regional events, and many more possibilities. We are also looking at more ways to interact with MEDITECH as they continue to attend events.
Through our recent survey regarding our reverse trade show idea, great input and results were collected from many Commercial Members. The information you provided will greatly assist us in making recommendations regarding a reverse trade show to the MUSE Board. We are planning to continue to seek your input and feedback throughout the year.
As with all organizations, the lingering effects of the recession on the economy have affected MUSE too. This is a challenging issue to tackle as it is in our own respective companies. CMAC and the MUSE Board are developing new ideas and strategies to increase attendance and continue building momentum in these challenging economic times.
I am committed to developing CMAC into a very interactive and valuable team for you as Commercial Members to tap into and utilize for your MUSE needs and ideas. CMAC's core is you, our members, and from my perspective, the more ideas and input we have, the more valuable we will be as a team.
We will be planning a CMAC member event at the International Conference. Details will be communicated early enough so that you can all make plans to attend, interact with your peers, and have a forum for voicing your opinions and ideas. I know it is hard to commit to one more organization for your time and effort, but I believe choosing to be a part of (MUSE /CMAC) is a valuable investment for your company and your clients.
Do not hesitate to contact me, Jenni Isfan, or any of the members of CMAC if you need more information, have feedback or a complaint, or have ideas to share with CMAC for presentation to the MUSE Board. We are open for all! My cell number is 509-230-6163, call me any time.
Thank you for your generous, continued support of MUSE and CMAC. I look forward to seeing you all in Orlando in May!
Best,
Sandra Jacobs
