| Coming Soon to a Neighborhood Near You...
The Ventura Auto Center is an important asset for Ventura - in fact, it generates more than $3 million annually for the City's General Fund, and we anticipate this number to grow due to lots of exciting activity.
The move and expansion from Ventura Avenue to the 8250 Auto Center Drive last year has been incredibly beneficial for The Players Casino as well as for the City. Since its relocation a year ago, the Casino has added $1 million to City coffers. It is currently working to expand operations to add four more tables, a full bar, and a restaurant using an $850,000 loan from the City, which is anticipated to generate even more revenue.
A $300,000 City loan will help relocate Barber Subaru from its midtown location at 1969 E. Thompson Blvd. to a larger, more visible, synergistic site at the Auto Center. The new larger location is anticipated to increase sales by $6 million in the next five years.
On May 20, the Design Review Committee approved façade improvements for Paradise Chevrolet, located at 6350 Leland St. Subsequently, the Building and Safety Division approved the proposed plans, and the remodel is underway.

We are now offering Express Plan Review to streamline the plan review process for smaller, less complex tenant improvement projects that can be reviewed over the counter! Express Plan Checks can be be used for:
- Professional Business Office (B), except Medical/Dental Office uses
- Retail Sales (M)
- Offices associated with approved Existing Warehouses (S1) or Factories (F1)
