Happy RD Day!
National Nutrition Month provides many opportunities for appreciating an RD and sharing nutrition messages with those around you.

National Nutrition Month |

Hello Team,
National Nutrition Month® is a nutrition education and information campaign sponsored annually by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The campaign is designed to focus attention on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits. NNM also promotes the Academy and its members to the public and the media as the most valuable and credible source of timely, scientifically based food and nutrition information. The theme for this year's National Nutrition Month is "get your plate in shape". Nutrition education materials for NNM are available here. Last year, Sam Ousey and friends dressed up as fruits and vegetables and participated in school nutrition education by passing out healthy snacks and nutrition information!

Wednesday, March 14, 2012 is the fifth annual Registered Dietitian Day. RD Day increases awareness of registered dietitians as the indispensable providers of food and nutrition services and recognizes RDs for their commitment to helping people enjoy healthy lives. More information about RD day can be found here.
