Greetings!

For 35 years, HM Composite has been providing professional dietitian and menu services to health care communities. Now that we offer so much more, how do we communicate to our clients all that we can do for them? What is our main consistent message to potential clients that differentiates us from our competitors?

Reduce Risk, Increase Profits and Improve Care Quality

Everything we provide to our clients can be summed up in these 3 areas; reduce risk, increase profits, and improve care quality. When we look at the services and products we offer, they are geared toward these objectives through clinical and operations, regulatory compliance and cost effective dietary management.

Services:

  • RD consulting
  • Senior management dietary pre-survey
  • Quality improvement consulting
  • Culture change dining development
  • Culinary Skills Workshops
  • ServSafe classes
  • Expert RD guest speakers
  • "Menu For Success" newsletter
  • Dietary manager on-line training program

We have a full suite of management tools that are fully compliant with regulatory requirements and reflect the highest standards of practice in the industry today.

Our professional products:

  • Menus
  • Recipes
  • Policy and Procedure Manual
  • Diet Manual
  • Nutritional Care System
  • Clinical and operations forms

How do we condense all of this into one succinct message?  In addition to our company name, we have a tagline that communicates our message of "reduce risk, increase profits and improve care quality."  So, wherever you see the logo, included will be these words: Excellence in Nutrition Therapy and Management.

Reduce Risk:

We help mitigate survey and patient care risk through regulation education and guidance. Our 65+ dietitians gain the benefit of group intelligence with a combined 200+ years of RD experience! We provide senior management dietitians with expertise in performing mock surveys and mentoring dietitians for survey excellence to avoid survey citations. Our RD newsletters keep you abreast of current survey trends to include in your everyday practice.

Increase Profits:

Our RDs help lower dietary costs through guidance for cost effective management practices, use of our menus, recipes, dietary tools and resources, and survey preparedness to reduce risk of costly survey citations. We assist facilities to improve their residentpayer mix by helping them improve their meal quality and resident satisfaction which drives admissions.

Improve Care Quality:

Improving resident care quality comes with quality meal service and nutritional care. We offer culinary consultation which is a cost effective method to improve patient care. Menu desirability, food safety, and culture change dining involvement attracts admissions and facilities retain them with superior food and menus. Our comprehensive nutrition assessment system and the practice of evidence-based medical nutrition therapy assure residents meet nutritional needs and increases patient satisfaction.

Dear Dietitian

What do you celebrate in life?  Holidays?  Birthdays?  Special Occasions? Spring? Daylight savings time? One product that has been an HMC hallmark is our Theme Menus. The founders of HMC recognized that the residents in our facilities continue to celebrate moments and these celebrations assist with their reality orientation, relieve depression and loneliness and add joy to their life.

Our 35th Anniversary Party is only a week away!  We are planning a great celebration of the legacy of HM Composite, our new company name and the dietitians that will take us into the future.  And the future for HMC will be very bright. Let's Celebrate!
