RD Tip |
Visit the reference file on the staff website to review the entire AB 2128, Check the qualifications of your dietary supervisors; ask to see their certificate, degree, CDR or CDM card. Check the Dietary Managers Association website for information on becoming a CDM, and taking the CDM exam. *More information about the Dietary Manager Online program that HMC is offering will be available in the next few weeks. You should recommend the dietary supervisor post a copy of their qualifications and their ServSafe certificate in their office. They may need to get a copy of their qualifications from their employee file. |
Dear Dietitian |
State surveyors are scrutinizing the qualifications of supervisors to make sure they meet one of the above approved methods. We can stay a step ahead by verifying qualifications and having copies readily available during survey. If you have any questions about their qualifications, contact me or the HMC office for advice.
Sincerely,
Judy Morgan, MBA, RD HM Composite |
