February 4. 2009 |
Greetings!
Please consider joining with millions of women, as well as companies, organizations and cities across America on National Wear Red Day, Friday, Feb. 6, 2009. |
RDs in the Field
Friday February 6th is "Go Red Day" |
(click poster to go to "Go Red" site for more information)
Help spread the word about women and heart disease today. Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women in America. Using the simple phrase "Love Your Heart," the Go Red For Women movement is mobilizing women, men, celebrities, healthcare providers and politicians to embrace and elevate the cause of women and heart disease.
It's easy, all you do is "Wear Red" on Friday. From clothing, to makeup, or a splash of red jewelry we can "Go Red" and share in the message to promote good heart health.
Please feel free to forward this email with the easy link to the "Go Red" site. |
RD Tip! |

Go Red and Go Red For Women are trademarks of AHA. The Red Dress Design is a trademark of U.S. DHHS.
One of 2 women in the United States dies of heart disease or stroke, yet women are underdiagnosed and undertreated for these diseases and their risk factors. Informed decisions to prevent heart disease and stroke depend on awareness of risk factors and knowledge of behaviors to prevent or detect these diseases.

Thank you all for taking the time to read the RD Newsletter.
This is me last April when I was honored by CDA for "Excellence in Private Practice, Business or Communication". It was definitely a day for a red suit, even with my red hair! And yes, I will be wearing Red on Friday, too!
