July 28-July 2, 2009: Camelot Kids is closed - Staff Development Week

July 5, 2009: Camelot Kids Summer Program Begins

Please go on to our website www.camelotkids.org and click on our main calendar to check out the summer schedule. Please keep in mind that everything posted on the summer schedule may be changed or canceled for any reason.

* Please note our Summer Camp hours are from 8am to 5.30pm  All kids must be picked up no later than 5.30pm. 

** Please note Camelot is a year round school and tuition is due each month regardless of vacations.  We do not pro-rate for any sick days or time off due to your summer holidays.

***Big Dragons will still receive the Braggin Dragon until August when our school roster will be updated and you will all be removed at the same time. 

July 17, 2009:  Parent's Night Out

Do you need a break? Some time with your hubby? Well this is the night to do it. This monthly event is fun filled with games, fun and pizza! Children are encouraged to wear pajamas and towards the latter part of the evening will get to watch a great movie while dozing off to sleep. The hours for this event are from 5-10p.

The rates are: $35.00 per child w/ an additional $10.00 per sibling.


 
IMPORTANT NEWS

Please Welcome our new office manager Ms. Melissa (Missy) to Camelot Kids!

Born and raised in South Florida, she attended Palm Beach Atlantic University and graduated with a B.S. degree in Preschool Education. In January of this year, she married the love of her life and moved out to Los Angeles.  In the future she is looking forward to owning her own preschool. She said that when she first stepped into Camelot Kids, she was so amazed by how beautiful the facility was and how friendly the "Camelot Team" were.   We are very pleased to have her start Camelot Kids this month.

RAFFLE WINNER

Congratulations - The winner for July's free tuition is the Guerra family! They sold a total of 95 tickets, and won 2 other raffle prizes totaling more than $1450.  WOW Great Job!!

Fall Registration Reminder - Just a reminder for families returning for the 2010/2011 September school year to please have paid your $ 250 registration check. Also remember to please update all new personal information like new phone numbers, family contacts as well as signing our new 2011 admissions agreement.


 Tired of getting your payments in late?

Automatic payment is finally here at Camelot. If interested in setting this up, simply submit a voided check and your tuition will then be automatically deducted monthly from your account.


 Billing - Our new billing system enables everyone to receive a statement on the 1st of every month that shows what is due, show payments received, and reflect any late pick up payments, drop in days or failed sign in/out.

FYI - You can always access this information via your pin code in the main office in the EZ Care system.


EZ CARE/Sign in/out book- Just a reminder to please sign in/out on a daily basis (this is required by computer and manual sign out). When signing in/out please remember to push the word DONE when finished, this will ensure that your entry was accepted. Signing in/out is a requirement by the Department of Social Services and failing to do so will result in a $10.  Melissa "Missy" is in the office and always very helpful if you have any questions about this procedure. There is also an automatic $10 late pick up fee that is implemented when a child has not been signed out after the 15 minute grace period.

*FYI - ISLANDS restaurant Glendale! Kids eat free on Tuesdays! (Charissa's hubby is the manager there.

Thank you to all of the wonderful parents that donated items for the raffle as well as everyone that sold raffle tickets for the event. The money that was raised is being used to install new windows, doors and lighting throughout the school as well as bamboo flooring in the Studio!!

 This month's teacher is Miss Doris from the baby dragons purple classroom.

Ms. Doris was born in Manhattan and raised in New York City. Her mother was a business woman and her father an entrepreneur. She is an only child but that has never kept her from being outgoing. As a child she says she was an entertainer always enrolled in ballet, tap and even played the accordion. Ms. Doris has always loved to be with children. She has 2 daughters and 3 step sons of her own.

In the new year Ms. Doris is looking forward to sharing new and exciting experiences with the children and staff. She is happy to have this great opportunity to go back into her educational roots as she taught Montessori in New York for ten years. We are very grateful to have Ms. Doris here as she has brought so many great ideas and different influences in learning.

We love you Ms. Doris!
