September. We have now changed all classrooms titles from letters to room
colors. The teachers for each class are as follows:

IMPORTANT NEWS!!
Congratulation's Ms. Tracy!
Ms Tracy's eldest daughter just finished 8th
grade with a score of 4.0 grade average and ranked 1/416. Top of her entire
grade!!! WOW cannot get any better than that. Way to go Ms Tracy!!!
The New Big Dragons Program:
We are constantly striving to provide the best for each child here at
Camelot Kids and acknowledge that their last year here should be filled w/ as
much art and creativity as math and science and awesome self confidence. This
is why we have brainstormed with Ms. Tracy and Ms. Elizabeth to formulate our
new Big Dragons Program. We are currently in the process of transforming our
current classrooms (Big Dragon's Yellow Classroom & the Big Dragons Green
Classroom) into two separate learning centers that both classrooms will use
together.
Here's how it works:
Big Dragons Green Classroom will be dedicated to our reading, math,
science and dramatic play programs.
Big Dragons Yellow Classroom will be dedicated to our art, writing,
manipulative, block play, games and puzzles programs.
These two rooms will be used by both classes and the children will rotate in
and out of them. This will not only assure that the two classrooms are working
cohesively together as a unit, But also gives the teachers more time to work w/
smaller sets of students to make sure that each child's gets the one on one
attention that they need. Once the fabulous Big Dragons
Building (located near
our morning back gate) is completed, The 2 Big Dragon classes will re-locate to
their new open and spacious (Kinder-Like classroom setting) and continue to
operate in the same way. We are so excited to be implementing this new innovative
idea.
Late Pick Ups
We want to remind all families that a $10 late pick up fee will apply to
anyone who picks up their child late (15 mins). Once we commence in the fall
there are programs that are conducted throughout the school campus (after the
1pm & 2pm pick up times). The programs require our teachers' full attention.
Parents that stay after this time not only interrupt teaching in the school but
also increase the risk of accidents or incidents were their children are left
unsupervised. We ask that you leave promptly and no later than 1:15pm or
2:15pm. If you would like the flexibility of picking up anytime between
2pm and 5pm you can opt to pay an extra $100 for the month and pick up any time
during that time (2-5p).
September Tuition
We want to remind everyone that September's tuition increases by $25 from
what you are currently paying to cover our annual lease increase. (this does not apply to the parents who just
enrolled and started in July or August, who are paying the current 2010 tuition
rates posted on our website). Also for
those of you who have not already paid the Registration fee of $250, Building
& Maintenance fee of $250 and the Earthquake Fee of $25 it is also due by
the 1st of September.
2009 Friday Morning Enrichment Classes (Begins in September)
*These classes are included in each child's daily schedule, no
extra fees are required.
Yoga- Fridays (9:30-11:30a)
Yoga with Ms. Kelly is held in our studio every Friday morning
and teaches the children various kinds of friendly yoga poses like "Down
Diggity Dog". The 30 min class combines postures, breath work, and
visualizations and builds their strength, flexibility, focus and the connection
between mind, body and spirit. The children are given tools on various different
methods of relaxation, basic positions, techniques and breathing exercises.
Yoga also stimulates the cardiovascular system, improves posture and tones the
muscular system.
Sign Language-Fridays (9:30-11:30a)
Sign Language with Ms. Michaela is a 30 min class held in the classrooms every
Friday morning. It's a fun and easy
way to learn a different way of communicating. When kids learn to sign in
ASL (American Sign Language) they are learning how to express themselves using
their eyes, face, head and body movements. Along with their hands, these features
make ASL an exciting and handy thing for kids to know. We can't wait to get
started!
Monthly Career Days: We need you!
Each month during the new school year we are inviting 1 parent to come to
Camelot and brag, discuss/showcase what they do for a living. Please contact us
if you want to come and share what you do, the kids would love to see it!
Discovery Program
We are excited to announce some wonderful changes to our Discovery
Program. We are now implementing an enrichment component to each class
which will change every two months. Starting September our "Discovery
Program" now requires you to sign up and pay for 2 months - $500. For
August we have Kiddie Yoga with Heather and
"Jam-A- Lot Kids" music class taught by Ms Peggy. For more information
about our upcoming schedule please visit our website.
