St. John's looks forward to welcoming a new parish deacon, The Reverend Margaret Hudley McCauley! Rev. McCauley was born in Chicago and moved to Los Angeles with her family as a teenager. She is a graduate of Dorsey High School and California State University, Los Angeles, where she earned a B.A. in Education and an M.A. in Educational Administration. Rev. McCauley completed her diaconal studies at Episcopal Theological School at Claremont and was ordained in December of 2006. In 2009, Rev. McCauley was elected to Diocesan Council, and she also serves the Diocese as chairman of the Program Group on Black Ministry. Rev. McCauley is the mother of two married sons, and the ecstatic grandmother of five grandchildren (3 girls and 2 boys) whose ages range from 3 to 12 years. We will be very happy to have her begin her ministry with us on the Feast of Pentecost -- be sure to welcome her!
