kcfootballNSCD National Programs Update
Over the past five years, the NSCD has impacted lives beyond Colorado through the National Programs Division.  With a new office in Kansas City providing year around programming, including ski programs at Snow Creek Ski Area, the NSCD also holds camps with professional sports teams in eight other US cities and Soccer Ability Leagues in San Diego, Chicago, Denver and Kansas City.  Through our National Programs efforts, we continue to reach out beyond our home in Colorado to provide quality sports and recreational programs for people of all ages with almost any type of disability.  Watch our National Programs in action through this short video.

NSCD Volunteer Spotlight

Jim Cervenka

As many of you know, we at the NSCD could not do what we do without the work of over 800 dedicated volunteers.  Each of our volunteers has a different background and reason for donating his or her free time for the NSCD. Mr. Jim Cervenka, owner of Grand Lake Art Gallery, has been a NSCD volunteer for 8 winters and 6 summers.  Jim spends most of his volunteer time teaching snowboarding to at-risk and developmentally challenged teens.  Jim claims, he "gets as much out of his day volunteering with the NSCD as his students do.  To read more about Jim's experience as an NSCD volunteer please visit
