John Paul II will be beatified May 1st
The much-anticipated beatification of Pope John Paul II will take place on May 1, the Sunday after Easter (Divine Mercy Sunday), the Vatican announced. The healing of a French nun with Parkinson's disease is to go down in history as the miracle that made John Paul II a "blessed."

The Department of Theological Studies of Concordia University, Montreal makes innovation this coming summer by offering a course in Pilgrim Texts: the history, politics and theology of pilgrimage
The classes and coursework will be disigned to complement an actual experience of pilgrimage, in May, that will last 22 days on the Compostella walk.
