Washington, D.C. - September 28, 2009 - The Technology Team for Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated, with approval from Our International President, Jimmy Hammock, is pleased to announce the launch of our Fraternity's Newly Designed International Website.
The site, located at the same address, http://www.pbs1914.org , brings a lot of new and exciting features not seen in the previous International Site. A couple of the features include enhanced home page that features rotating slides keynoting recent International Sigma Events, the incorporation of the Programs and Initiatives into the mail site, as well as a new media room complete with videos, pictures, and more. We've also incorporated some of the robust Web 2.0 features such as RSS Feeds and Links out to Facebook, Google, Twitter, and more. One of our most notable features is the addition of a webform which allows Applicants to fill out their membership application information on the International Site and then produce a PDF File as their application. Complete instructions on this feature ar on the site under "Become A Sigma".
The Technology Team wishes to thank the Honorable Brother Jimmy Hammock, Brother Paul L. Griffin, Brother Steve Ballard, Brother Elliott Anderson, Brother Reginald Reed and the other contributing members of our Fraternity who helped make this happen. In the coming months, you will see even more exciting changes to the site and new feature that will keep you informed and abreast of all of what Sigma Men are doing acrossthe globe.
A big thanks goes to The Felix Culpa Group ( http://www.felixculpagroup.com ) for their outstanding work in developing the site under the guidance of myself and the Technology Team. We'd also like to thank the Members of the Headquarters Staff and the Honorable William Stanley for helping to provide us with content for the site.
We hope you enjoy the labor of love that we all put into the site! Feel free to send comments and questions to Ian P. Heisser at technology@pbs1914.org
Fraternally yours,
Ian P. Heisser International Director of Technology Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc
