NBC's hit series "The Biggest Loser" returns for season eight with a special theme of "second chances" - and a must-see premiere on Tuesday, September 15 (8pm EST/7pm CST). Alison Sweeney ("Days of our Lives") hosts the popular series, and trainers Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels return to train 16 contestants eager to get their second chances at a new lease on life.
One of the 16 will be Sigma Brother and Leadership Academy Faculty member, Bro. Antoine Dove.
According to Dove,
"This season 'Biggest Loser' is about second chances. You can follow my progress and hear more about my story at www.nbc.com/the-biggest-loser/ and click on 'Contestants.' If you have ever struggled with your weight it's never too late to start making changes towards a healthier lifestyle." "Dove's involvement could not have come at a more strategic time in the development of the Academy. The Leadership Academy has been working in concert with the General Board of Phi Beta Sigma, specifically the International Program Directors, on SIGMA WELLNESS brand alignment," said Honorable Bro. Jimmy Hammock, International President of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
Dove's comments on his selection process, saying
"I was blessed this past Spring to be selected as a contestant on NBC's hit weight loss reality show 'The Biggest Loser.' I have struggled with my weight all my life and now with the help of NBC I am tackling my weight with full force." View his bio at
