Learn how to transform your curriculum into engaging school
museum projects when you join the Arts @ Large FREE Learning
on Display Information
Session.
Featuring workshop presenter and author Linda D'Acquisto, Learning
on Display: Student-Created Museums That Build Understanding,
this introductory information session will
set the stage for a multi-level professional development opportunity that will
build your skills to turn a variety academic subjects and curriculum into
project-based student created museums. This amazing concept will introduce your
students and school community to a whole new form of learning using multimedia,
literary, visual and performing arts to form interactive classroom museums.
The April 29th information session will
encourage school teacher teams (of 2-3 members) to join Arts @ Large and Ms.
D'Acquisto for a series of professional development workshops: a full-day workshop in late May to
early June where Arts @ Large will provide substitute teachers for teacher
participants, a 3-day workshop in July and a follow-up workshop in the fall of
2010, setting the stage for classroom projects in the 2010/11 school year.
