Informational Meeting for Visual Artist Educators, 2/3

The 'Creating and Connecting CommUNITY' Project will connect multiple MPS Schools by collaborating to create a permanent art installation to be displayed at the MPS Central Services Building. Artwork could include banners, stained glass work, sculptures, mixed media pieces and will be determined by the selected artist.

The informational meeting is set for Wednesday, Feb 3rd, 2010 from 10:30 AM-11:30 AM in the Central Services Auditorium located at 5225 West Vliet Street Milwaukee, Wi 53208. Any questions, contact: Kimberly Abler at 414.475.8051 or ablerka@milwaukee.k12.wi.us.

Harley-Davidson Museum Tour 2/25
Wonder how you can connect your art program to the revving of motorcycle engines? See how art, world history and entrepreneurship connect to a local legend. In partnership with Arts @ Large, the harleymuseumHD Museum is offering teachers and artist educators a FREE, guided tour of the new building filled with interactive hands-on displays and learning opportunities. Each attendee will receive one free copy of the book Harley and the Davidsons: Motorcycle Legends. Each Arts @ Large school that subsequently schedules a field trip for their students will receive 30 free copies of the book Harley and the Davidsons: Motorcycle Legends. Jewish Museum Milwaukee Tour and Mini-Workshops 3/9
Come tour the Jewish Museum Milwaukee and participate in a variety of mini-workshops from 'Storytelling' to 'Life in Israel.' This event is FREE for teachers and artist educators interested in learning more about how to utilize this great community resource. Refreshments will be provided.
