For 25 years our Davenport branch has supplied customers in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois with quality truck parts and service. Sadler Power Train in Davenport can provide the results you are looking for. Matt Goodding is the branch manager of this location and has been with Sadler Power Train full-time for 18 years. In the history of the Davenport location, Sadler Power Train has employed two generations of Goodding's, and now employs Matt and his brother Jamie who works in the warehouse and also delivers parts. Matt strives to think outside the box by paying attention to detail and looking down all avenues of opportunity to ensure the customers total satisfaction. He has been instrumental in the growth of this location and also strives to put the customer first by making sure they have a quick turnaround with limited downtime. Matt has 13 other hard-working employees at his location that play key roles in making the Davenport location such a success. Davenport receives two stock trucks per week from our Cedar Rapids location, and also have several outside drivers just to make sure they have what the customer needs, when they need it. They also run daily delivery service to locations all over SE Iowa, NW Illinois and also in town. This daily service has allowed our customers to depend on Davenport for reliable parts and service everyday. With all the services they are able to offer thier customers and the reputation they have built for quality and service, it is clear that Sadler Power Train in Davenport is well on its way to another 25 years of success. |
Davenport Location Willing To Take On The Big Jobs
Although Davenport does not have a large shop they love to take on challenges some others may shy away from. Shown here on the right are a few of the 50+ differentials they re-ratioed for John Deere, each axle weighing approximately 5000 lbs. They continue to work with John Deere on a regular basis to accomplish all their axle needs, while still servicing their other customers at the same time. Another big job worked on by our Davenport location earlier in the year was a 120 ton crane that needed the drive axles replaced. The axles were only sold in Germany and took many days to just purchase and get them through US Customs. The crane itself was thought to be too big to fit inside the service bays, but with a little help from the crane operator it fit like a glove. Once inside, they spent many hours disassembling the wheel ends to replace the king pins, bushings and drive axles. Pictures of these jobs can be seen by clicking on the link below:
Whether it is a drive shaft, flywheel, wet kit, transmission, rear end or axle work; Sadler Power Train in Davenport will find a way to handle it. You will receive quality work, excellent customer service, and they'll get you back on the road quickly. |
Costello's Diesel Wins Quad-Runner
Jim Costello of Costello's Diesel in Fairbank, IA won the 2008 Customer Appreciation Giveaway at Sadler Power Train. The four finalists were drawn and met at the Cedar Rapids store for the drawing of the keys to start the quad. Jim drew the one key that fit the ignition and started it up.
Jim stated he had, "never won anything before in his life" earlier that day when he arrived and was thankful to win at least $500 cash given to those finalists who drew incorrect keys. Jim was very excited to win the quad as he and his son Adam are avid hunters and will be able to put the quad to good use.
