If you haven't yet made your reservations for the DLA's Annual Luncheon and Awards Ceremony, to be held on Friday, October 31st from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Embassy Suites Hotel, this is a reminder that the deadline for reservations is October 27, 2008. 

Another exciting year has passed and the Downtown Lincoln Association is looking forward to celebrating progress at our Annual Meeting. We invite you to celebrate the individuals, businesses and associations who have maximized their potential and created a positive impact on downtown Lincoln.

The 2008 DLA Impact Awards:
Join us at the awards luncheon to see who DLA has crowned as the 2007-2008 Downtown Impact winners. The Impact Awards are given to six of the following categories:

Business Leadership Award
Recognizes a business or organization that has shown exemplary community support for downtown.

Downtown Champion Award
Honors an individual who has shown leadership and vision in promoting a strong Downtown and building consensus for key projects and issues.

Residential Development Award
Recognizes a residential project, either single residence or multiple units, which adds to the variety and appeal of downtown housing choices.

Significant Development Award
$1 million and Above | Under $1 million
These two awards recognize renovations, improvements or new developments that have added value to the property, enhanced the surrounding area, increased visibility and may be a catalyst for other investment.

Downtown Young Entrepreneur Award
This award honors an under-40 entrepreneur who is growing a business downtown.
