Sharon Vosmek, CEO Astia Message from the CEOWow! Did you see the front page of Sunday's New York Times Business Section? I certainly had fun seeing the Astia name in print. It made me especially proud of our clients, our community, our programs, and our message - that women are an untapped potential for the innovation economy and that Astia can be a place for women and men together to reach their full potential. We say it best in our mission: Astia propels women's full participation as entrepreneurs and leaders in high-growth businesses, fueling innovation and driving economic growth. It is our belief that it is the advisors who surround the individual, as much as the individual herself, who can ensure the success of the start-up. To this end, we at team Astia are committed to maintaining a rich community dedicated to the success of our clients. This work is generously supported by corporations, foundations, and individuals. If you have not yet made your annual contribution to Astia, I encourage you to do so today! Astia is a very lean nonprofit - every one of your dollars goes directly to support the program and ecosystem that is Astia. And quite honestly, we cannot do it without your support. Click here today to make your contribution! The article also highlighted for me that we cannot do this work alone. It is through the efforts of many individuals and groups together that we will increase women's participation in all ends of the high growth food chain: from girls in math & science programs, to women in engineering, to women entrepreneurs, to women CEOs, to women in the board room, to women investors. We collectively in our efforts intend an environment where every woman who seeks her full potential has every opportunity open to her. I do hope you will join us in this work - with your support, your participation, and your voice! Cheers, Sharon Vosmek
