A Message From the CEO
Sharon Vosmek
Welcome to summer!  I hope this newsletter finds you all slowing down to enjoy a bit of sunshine.

July finds Astia continuing down our planned path for growth on the national stage.  Thank you to each of you for your support as we continue to make progress on our goals:

1)  We continue to see exceptional funding rates for the class of 2007.  To date, 45% of the 2007 companies have achieved funding or an exit (we track their progress for 12 months out).  You can read about three more in this month's newsletter - one funding and two exits.

2)  This month, we launched the community website which will allow for enhanced interactions between the Astia Advisors and the clients we serve - regardless of geography.  Read More and create your Astia profile today. [link to lower story]

3)  We continue to be pleased with the reach and success of the Astia New York City program.  Read about this month's spotlighted company, Orelle Corporation.

Oh, and have you heard about it?  The annual conference has just been launched with a new name and brand to better reach our national audience.  This year's conference is invitation only, so look for an invitation in the coming weeks!

Enjoy your summer.  I very much look forward to seeing you all soon.

Cheers,
Sharon

In 2005, Joya was elected to Afghanistan's national parliament, where as the youngest person elected, and one of the most popular, she continued to press her case for democracy and women's rights. However, in May of 2007 she was suspended for challenging her fellow representatives. Her suspension, currently being appealed, triggered international protest. Tickets on sale now!
