A Message from the ceo

sharon Headshot

Progress and growth require clarity of vision and a commitment to critical milestones along the way.  This month - thanks to the depth and breadth of the Astia Community - we will achieve the first milestone on the path to our vision of becoming a nationally relevant organization for entrepreneurs and investors.

On April 21-23 in New York City, entrepreneurs will access Astia's rich community and premier program for raising capital.  And on May 22, selected companies from this program will present to investors.

We believe in this vision for two reasons:  1) Astia's success story warrants national attention - with greater than 60% of our conference clients achieving successful fundings or exits - and more than 40% of those companies coming from outside of California; and 2) Our program, while firmly anchored in Silicon Valley with all of the access to relationships and capital that it offers, benefits a broader constituency - especially as innovation knows no limits of geography.

We in the Astia Community know the power of the relationships brought to bear for the clients we serve.  Our interest is to reach exceptional women innovators - wherever they may be - and to showcase the opportunity their companies present to the investor and startup community.

I hope you will join us in executing on this critical milestone by:

Cheers,

Sharon

P.S.  Watch for the launch of our Fall Conference in Silicon Valley coming in May and save the date now for this year's Astia Conference - November 19, 20 and 21 in San Francisco.
