Making it better
Colorado Avenue bridgework scheduled
TLM Constructors will conduct preventative maintenance on the Colorado Avenue viaduct, between Sierra Madre and I-25, in the coming months. Median and sidewalks will receive a concrete deck sealer, and a two-part epoxy overlay will go on the street surface. At times single lane closures will occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. If multiple lanes need to be closed, message boards will notify travelers five to seven days in advance.
Construction activity may be sporadic, as product placement must meet temperature restrictions.
TLM will also conduct pigeon abatement some time this year.
Railings and streetlights along the viaduct will be repainted in 2010, under a separate contract. A grant will enable replacement of light fixtures with energy- and cost-saving LED lights. For more information on the bridgework, contact City engineer Cam McNair by email to CMcNair@springsgov.com. |

Help us help you!
Send us your news
But please send it early!
The Downtown Partnership e-newsletter is sent out on or near the 15th of each month. If you have news or events to publicize, please keep that date in mind and submit your materials by the first of the month. If your event falls on a date during the first two weeks of a month, you'll want to contact us by the first of the preceding month. For example, a September 10th event should be publicized in our August15th newsletter... so we'd need to have your information by August 1. Questions? Contact Terri at 886-0088. |
