ONLINE REGISTRATION NOW AVAILABLE! YOU MAY WIN THE WEEKLY DRAWING!
We are excited to announce that you can now register for the 2008 Annual Dowsers Convention online! Your registering online rather than by phone will enable the staff at headquarters to continue operating smoothly, with less interruption (remember, we're at half staff). Here is a small incentive for all those who register for the 2008 convention online:
The name of everyone who registers online, Sunday to Monday in any given week, will be put in a hat. There will be one drawing per week. The winner will receive a free book from ASD's bookstore (Scot's choice) or an audio CD of a convention presentation (also Scot's choice). There are a lot of potential winners out there! If you're planning on coming to convention, and we hope you are, register online and you may be the lucky winner for that week!

CHILDREN'S PROGRAM: Keep in mind that this would be a great year to bring the kids, if they're school age. The venerable and legendary dowser, ASD supporter and member, Louis Matacia, is running a wonderful children's program this year, with dowsing lessons, prizes, learning, games and fun for your child. We are very grateful for Louis' appearance at convention this year, and urge you to consider bringing your kids. Louis has a lot of experience between his ears, and he loves to share it with the younger set. We are lucky to have him back-Thank you, Louis! See our convention page on the website for more details. http://www.dowsers.org/cons.htm

NEW: HOSPITALITY AREA: New this year is a Hospitality area, where there will be coffee and hot water available; all notices and changes will be posted there. It's a very comfortable space with sofas, tables, lots of room to meet and greet people, and there are doors accessing the patio and pool area right there as well. This is on the same floor as all the convention rooms and the dining room-very convenient! Convention Committee member Sandi Ruelke is the head of the Hospitality Committee; she is in need of a few volunteers, so if you're interested send an email to hospitality@dowsers.org. Sandi will contact you about her needs. For general volunteering positions at convention, send an email to volunteerform@dowsers.org indicating your interest in volunteering. You will get an email back with further instructions.

GEOMANCER'S THOUGHTS ON THE CONVENTION LOCATION OF KILLINGTON: We thought we'd bring to your attention some interesting tidbits about Killington as a location for our convention. Peter Champoux is a much-loved presenter at convention. Peter teaches about the alignment of people to place and purpose-he calls it Field Geometry-and his fascinating book Gaia Matrix is familiar to many of you. Peter is putting together a pre-convention workshop which will present opportunities to link with the place that is Killington, understand the context, and ground the earth energies at convention. In other words, here is the place, here is the energy of the place, here is how to have a relationship with the consciousness of the mountain. According to Peter, Killington is quite a synergistic site for ASD. As a mountain structure it has a vortex; four arms formed by a series of four major peaks, and then secondary hills that have eroded over time have generated this vortex form.
Peter is putting together a study, in its preliminary stages, to recognize the mountain in relationship to ASD. Aline drawn from the main peak to ASD HQ goes right through the conference site. According to Peter, this means that the synergy of place Killington holds for HQ shows that it's an optimum site for our gathering, within the context of the northeast. You can see Peter's diagram of his work at http://www.geometryofplace.com/center_sphere.htm; notice where Killington falls on the map!

CAN YOU SPONSOR AN AD FOR CONVENTION?: We mentioned in our first newsletter that one way for members to support this convention, and ASD, is to sponsor advertising for convention. If you are inclined and able to do this, please contact marna@dowsers.org, or Operations Manager Arvid Johnson at asd@dowsers.org. We have officially maxed out our advertising budget, and a few members sponsoring a couple more ads would really help out. Note: we were able to submit an article to Spirit of Change magazine, New England's largest metaphysical publication. It will appear in their summer issue, coming out in June.
