Greetings!

The heat is on. During the summer, even the most aviTropical Lilyd pond lover may choose to venture out only during the evening hours. Even some of the marginal aquatic plants are looking a little stressed with temp soaring over 100 degrees. However, if you have night blooming lilies or tropical lilies they LOVE this time of year. Nothing is more breathtaking than the blooms of these Lilies.

Catch one of our upcoming seminars from Build-A-Ponds to Bubbling Fountains to Guest Speakers. See our event schedule.

We also have new pond critters that arrived this week; HiFin Banded Chinese Sharks ($34.99), and Trapdoor Japanese Snails ($4.95).

 Water Garden Mass Confusion

Water gardening has become very popular. For that reason, we have seen a huge increase in the number of 'pond products'. Manufacturers have begun introducing a wide variety of pond products and equipment. There are
so many of these products and manufacturers to choose from that it has created mass confusion. Naturally, every manufacturer says their products are the best.

In truth, water gardens require very little additional product and most of these 'new' products are either not needed or differ by the packaging alone.

KEEP IT SIMPLE! Provide the necessary essentials in your pond, which are plants, fish and biological filtration. Leave the rest to Mother Nature; she does a far better job than the most expensive and sophisticated equipment on the market today.

Come visit our retail location. I have just completed our most recent display pond. It is a MUST SEE! You won't see this anywhere else in North Texas.  It is 100% natural, no UV Sterilizers, no fancy backwash system... very natural.

Happy Pondering

Help your Koi Survive the Summer Heat
aeration Do you need aeration in your pond?
Absolutely!

One of the questions we get asked during the relentless heat of summer is whether or not the water will get too hot and kill the fish. It is the lack of oxgyen in the water, a result of heat, that can kill your fish. If your fish are gulping at the surface of the water... they are in trouble.   Read more
