Like living stones, let yourselves be built into a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
                                                - 1 Peter 2:5

What a wonderful and exciting time it is to be a part of Grace Church.  With the master planning process underway, it is time to officially begin the work of gathering input to shape the future of both Grace's physical spaces and call to mission.  To ensure we collect feedback from as many unique perspectives as possible, The Kubala Washatko Architects (TKWA) have designed a process based upon groups with identified leaders called "user groups".

This Sunday, September 30, at the 8, 10, and noon services, both newcomers and members will have the opportunity during worship to fill out a short visioning survey.  In this way, we hope to capture feedback from the perspective of worship "groups" at Grace as well as those who might not already be part of an existing Grace group.

During Coffee Hour, those identified as user group leaders will assemble to receive a different, more in-depth questionnaire.  In the next few weeks, leaders will be calling their groups to find a time to meet and answer the questionnaire from each group's unique perspective.  For example, pantry volunteers will give their feedback from the perspective of people who both work and visit the
pantry.  What works?  What doesn't?  This viewpoint, for example, will most likely look different from that of the Healing Prayer Team.   Some parishioners will be part of multiple groups.  It is key to attend every group session in order to complete the surveys wearing each group's unique "hat".

Once the questionnaires have been collected, TKWA, under the direction of Vince Micha, will hold two meetings with user group leaders with the end goal of presenting a nearly complete patterns and program document to the entire congregation during the annual meeting on November 11.

The Master Plan Steering Committee thanks you in advance for rearranging your schedules to
accommodate user group meetings as they occur.   There will be a lot of work to accomplish in a short time, but the end results of your labors will result in something far greater and much longer lasting than any of us would be capable of on our own.
