Good Neighbor Program organizes Community Clean-up Drive and

College Car Forum

On Monday, April 11 members of the SDSU Associated Students Good Neighbor Program (GNP) and other student groups will participate in a community clean-up to kick-off the school's annual "GreenFest." GNP regularly hosts clean-up events in the College Area neighborhoods, and invites other student groups and community members to participate. Volunteers search for trash and other debris littering neighboring streets and pick it up for disposal. At this clean-up, volunteer teams will compete for a prize, which will be given to the team that returns with the heaviest bag of trash. Those interested in volunteering should gather at the Aztec Center Patio Stage area at 12 noon, and expect to volunteer until 2 p.m. For more information contact GNP Chair Krista Parker at gnp@mail.sdsu.edu or 619-594-SAFE.

On Wednesday, April 20, the GNP is hosting an informational forum on the College Area Car program. Panelists will include City Councilmember Marti Emerald and representatives from the SDSU Police, San Diego Police and City Attorney's Office. The forum will be held on campus  from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. For the location and parking information contact the A.S. Government Affairs Office at  619-594-6555.
