My niece Ananiah, whose names means "protected by God," was born yesterday afternoon. The good news of this healthy baby traveled fast to family and friends. There is always so much joy and excitement that comes with the birth of a new child. Jubilation is in the air and many thanks are given to God for answering our prayers. Then hasty plans are made to go and see this new life in person. A similar experience happens in Heaven when someone is born again.
Luke 15:10 (NIV) In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents."
Let's not forget to join in with this heavenly party when someone accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior, thanking God and giving Him praise. Salvation is the greatest miracle anyone can ever receive. Let us also remember that this new life we have received in Jesus should overflow and spill out onto the lives of people around us.
John 10:10 (AMP) The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).
Lord Jesus, please help us to share the wonderful good news of the Gospel with the people you have put around our lives, to let our light shine and our lives overflow with the goodness and joy of the Lord, to always be ready to share with others the most amazing gift of salvation, and join in the heavenly party that follows, Amen.
